This is a very unique and user friendly Accounting Software. It has features which an Accountant or Finance Manager had always dreamt of but could not get until now in any other software.

Unlike the run of the mill software, which are meant for use by traders and very small offices, Kalpataru is designed to meet the requirements of a larger organisation where complete financial control is the aim, not mere accounting. Kalpataru provides you the tools to budget and monitor expenses on your different Cost Centres or Jobs. It can, at a breath taking speed, provide you with reports which highlight where you are making money and where you are losing money.

Kalpataru provides the controlled environment required for this purpose. Its multi user capability is unrestricted so that all concerned can share and use the information available provided they have the user rights to do so. This software runs under Windows 95 or Windows NT. It uses concepts available in such environments to provide them in an Accounting Package so that any Windows user can easily pick up the operation of the software in no time.

Visual Grouping of Accounts : This is a Codeless software. However it allows the user to define codes / alias also, so that it can provide you the best of both worlds. Creation of Account codes or Cost Centres and grouping them is done visually so that any one entering data will have no confusion about which account he is using.

Multi User Provisions : Any number of users can simultaneously use the Multiuser version of this software when it is installed under a proper operating system. Entry of any type of vouchers can be done from any computer and in any order. For example more than one person can enter the same type of voucher from their computers simultaneously.

Password Protection : The software lets the Administrator create as many users as he wants and assign the nature of data entry rights he should have for each type of vouchers.

Locking of Period of Data Entry : The Administrator can set the period for which data entry will be accepted by the software. Only Administrator will have the right to override this and enter / update data for prior periods.

Locking of Audited Data : The software also has permission to mark the vouchers as having been audited. Once this is done no modifications will be permitted to these entries.

Multiple year data entry provision : You can enter data of any number of years simultaneously. In a large company this is essential so that some users can enter current data at the same time that others are updating last year’s data (provided they have the rights to do so). Data entry rights for changing the current accounting year rests with the Administrator only. The Accounting year is flexible and can be made to cover any number of months not just twelve months.

Integrated TDS : TDS is fully integrated in the screens of this software. With provision of TDS Codes in all Party Masters, TDS Calculations can be made automatic.

Good Screen Design: Data entry screens are the back bone of any software. We have taken utmost care to design screens which users can easily identify with. Each type of voucher is therefore provided with a separate screen and allows both keyboard and mouse to be used freely. The software provides maximum help to the user by giving easy access to the existing data.

Cost Centre Accounting : You can bifurcate Income and Expenses Departmentwise, so that you can prepare departmentwise Profit & Loss statements. Departmentwise Budgetory Control can be implemented very nicely with this software. The software allows the users to create many levels of Departments also. You can have divisions, departments under the divisions etc.

Stock Accounting for Trading Companies : Data about items can be entered in the Item Groups Master and grouping of the items into categories can be done visually. The software provides for entering these item codes in Sales and Purchase Documents so that Stock Figures can be obtained from the software.

Printing of Invoices : Invoicing Provision for three types of Companies Profesional, Trading and Manufactuing with excise are available in this software. We have standardised the formats of these printouts so that the system is easy to set up and use.

Printing of Vouchers : This software will let you print any of the vouchers that you enter so that manual writing can be totally avoided. The formats of the vouchers are available in Print form in the manual of the software. These can be used to prepare preprinted stationery on which the software will print only the data necessary. Or if the volume of the vouchers to be printed is not large you can print the complete voucher including the format and data in one go directly from the software. Even invoices can be printed the same way so that preprinted invoices with your company logo can be used.

Cheque Printing facility : Will allow you to print the cheques from the software itself.

Fast Response : Extremly fast response with on Screen Displays of Ledgers and Trial Balance and many other data.
